General Questions

What ages do you take dogs from?
We take puppies and young dogs from 16 weeks as long as all vaccinations are up to date. This is a very important stage in their development — learning socialisation skills and making new friends. We'll always be honest with you about your dog's progress.
Do you accept unneutered dogs?
Yes, we do accept unneutered dogs, but only if they display appropriate behaviour around other dogs. Our priority is to maintain a safe and positive environment for all, so we may recommend solo walks or daycare adjustments if needed.
Can I visit before booking?
Absolutely! We encourage you to come and meet us, see the environment, and ask any questions in person. It's important that you feel confident and comfortable, and that your dog feels at ease too. Just get in touch to arrange a visit!
What vaccinations does my dog need?
We require up-to-date vaccinations including Distemper/Parvovirus (DHPP) and Bordetella (kennel cough). Proof of vaccination must be provided before your dog's first visit. If you're unsure, your vet can provide a vaccination record.
How do you assess whether my dog is suitable for group settings?
Every new dog goes through a meet-and-greet assessment before joining group daycare or boarding. We observe their behaviour around other dogs and people in a calm, controlled environment. This helps us understand their personality and ensure they'll thrive with us.
What happens if my dog gets sick or injured while in your care?
Your dog's health is our top priority. If your dog shows signs of illness or injury, we will contact you immediately. In the case of an emergency, we will take your dog to the nearest vet and notify you straight away. We always ask for an emergency contact and your preferred vet details at the time of booking.

Daycare & Boarding

What happens in bad weather?
Rain or shine, your dog still gets their time! We adjust activities based on the weather to ensure comfort and safety. Walks might be shortened during extreme weather, but we always provide indoor play and enrichment to keep tails wagging.
What is included in daycare?
Our daycare includes morning walks, supervised playtime, midday rest and enrichment activities, afternoon social play, and regular photo updates. We keep group sizes small so every dog gets individual attention.
Is boarding really like a home, not a kennel?
Yes! We treat boarding dogs as part of our family. They stay in a comfortable home environment with regular walks, feeding, supervision, and plenty of cuddles. We provide daily updates and photos so you know your dog is happy and well cared for.
What does a typical day look like for my dog?
A typical day includes a morning walk, supervised group play, a midday rest period, enrichment activities, and an afternoon play session. Boarding dogs also receive breakfast, dinner, and a final walk before bedtime. We keep a consistent routine so dogs feel settled and secure.
Will I receive updates while my dog is with you?
Yes! We send regular photo and message updates throughout the day so you can see how your dog is getting on. We know how much you miss them, and we love sharing those happy moments with you.
What should I bring for my dog's boarding stay?
Please bring your dog's food portioned into individual meal bags, any medications with clear written instructions, and their collar with ID tags. We provide bedding and toys, but you're welcome to bring a familiar blanket or toy for extra comfort.
How do you handle dogs that are anxious or have separation anxiety?
We have experience caring for anxious dogs and take a patient, gentle approach. We introduce them gradually to the environment and other dogs at their own pace. Familiar scents, consistent routines, and one-to-one attention all help anxious dogs settle in quickly.

Walking & Grooming

How long are the walks?
Our standard walks are 30 minutes, which includes time for exercise, exploration, and toilet breaks. We tailor the pace and route to your dog's age, fitness level, and preferences.
Is grooming safe for anxious dogs?
Absolutely. We specialise in gentle, patient grooming for dogs of all temperaments. If your dog is anxious, we'll work at their pace and can break sessions into smaller steps if needed. Your dog's comfort and safety are always our priority.
Can you handle dogs with special needs?
Yes! We have experience with senior dogs, dogs with health conditions, and dogs with behavioural challenges. Please tell us about your dog's needs when you book, and we'll create a care plan that works for them.
How often should I get my dog groomed?
Grooming frequency depends on your dog's breed and coat type. Long-haired breeds typically benefit from grooming every 4–6 weeks, while short-haired breeds can go every 6–8 weeks. Double-coated breeds may need more frequent attention during moulting seasons. We're happy to recommend a schedule that suits your dog.
What grooming services do you offer?
We offer a full range of grooming services including baths, blow-drying, brushing, haircuts, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing. Whether your dog needs a quick tidy-up or a full groom, we've got them covered.
Do you walk dogs individually or in groups?
We offer both individual and small group walks depending on your dog's temperament and your preference. Dogs that are reactive, nervous, or simply prefer solo time will always be walked individually. Group walks are kept small to ensure every dog gets proper attention and supervision.
Will my dog be kept on a lead during walks?
Yes, all dogs are kept on a lead during walks unless you have specifically discussed and agreed to off-lead time in a safe, enclosed area. Your dog's safety is always our first concern, and we will never let your dog off-lead without your explicit permission.
